What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign is a modern approach to straightening your smile. Unlike traditional orthodontic braces made from metal wires and brackets, Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. Dr. Kirk E. Kooker, our committed dentist, has the certification necessary to offer Invisalign in Plano, Texas to our patients.
How does Invisalign work?
The Invisalign aligners are custom made from a detailed guide that Dr. Kirk E. Kooker will create after using 3D computer imaging technology to assess your personal alignment needs. Each aligner will gently apply pressure to your teeth to make small shifts in their positions. Approximately every two weeks, you will receive a new phase of aligners, and we will invite you to come into our office once every six weeks to ensure your alignment process is going as planned.
There are many benefits to Invisalign when compared to traditional orthodontic braces. The plastic aligners are removable, allowing you to eat, drink, and brush your teeth as normal. The aligners are also virtually invisible, allowing you to keep your beautiful smile throughout the entire process. There is no painful tightening, and the discomfort associated with metal wires and brackets is eliminated.
The first step to learning whether Invisalign is right for your smile is scheduling a consultation at our office. We invite you to do so by calling or visiting us today. We hope to help you achieve the straight, healthy smile you have always wanted.
